If you're a breakfast enthusiast like me, then Morning Glory is an absolute must-visit when in San Diego! Tucked away on the second floor, Morning Glory is a popular breakfast spot that never fails to captivate its visitors. The moment you arrive, you'll likely be greeted by a queue forming at the staircase, especially during peak hours. Be prepared for a waitlist if you plan to visit at a busy time, but trust me, it's worth it.
The vibrant murals, lush greenery, and vintage décor create an enchanting setting that transports you to a whimsical world. The only drawback to this fantastic ambiance is that the restaurant can get quite busy, and at times, the kitchen and waitstaff may appear a bit overwhelmed. This might lead to slightly longer waiting times for both drinks and dishes.
Having tasted a variety of their offerings, a few dishes stood out and became personal favorites. The Breakfast Carbonara deserves a special mention, as the combination of creamy carbonara sauce with perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon was a symphony of flavors. In fact, we loved it so much that we couldn't resist ordering an extra serving! Another highlight was the Morning Glory Fried Rice, bursting with aromatic goodness that left a lasting impression.
For those looking to indulge in some sweetness, the Souffle Pancakes are a must-try. Delicate and fluffy, they practically melt in your mouth. We also ordered: Khachapuri - A savory delight that's perfect for sharing with friends and Turkish Eggs - A unique and tasty option for those seeking something different.
